This workshop is designed to give participants the ability to use Microsoft Word’s features and functions to get consistent formatting and save time working with long documents.

Learning Objective(s)

On completion of this workshop participants should be able to:

  • modify paragraph formatting
  • change page set-up and margins
  • apply, create, modify and delete styles
  • insert section breaks
  • add headers and footers
  • use lists
  • insert pictures and shapes
  • insert captions
  • add cross-references
  • insert tables of contents and tables of figures

Prerequisite

Ability to:

  • create new and open existing documents;
  • insert and format text;
  • change line and paragraph spacing and alignment;
  • create lists;
  • insert page breaks and page numbering;
