Optimising care for surgical patients

Menzies Health Institute Queensland Seminar with Dr Anne Eskes
Over 70% of the time spent on care in the hospital is delivered by nurses, and, as a result, the quality of nursing care has a large influence on patient outcomes. Nurses are in the ideal position to play a key role in caring for surgical patients to guarantee high-quality of care. Dr Eskes' research focuses on wound care, and more recently on family centred care.

Workshop in Equity, Diversity and Gender in Employment

This day long workshop will consider all matters equity, diversity and gender at work. Topics to be discussed will include women in engineering, experience of older workers in New Zealand, employment barriers and work-life balance issues for expatriate workers, and the edurance of gender-dominant workplaces in the 21st century.
