GriffithBUSINESS Year 12 Workshop 1

These workshops are part of the GriffithBUSINESS Schools' Outreach Program and allows high school students to take part in on campus lectures and tutorials before they graduate. There are three available topics for each workshop: 'Managing yourself in the gig economy', 'The business is doing well, but is it really good business?' and 'Kicking a goal for Australia!'.

IBAS Research Seminar: Selected information systems research approaches with a focus on the knowledge management characteristics of specific organisations

Information Systems research is not only social science in nature, it also draws upon a range of methods used in other disciplines, e.g. sociology, psychology, business, management. This seminar will start with a discussion of the epistemologies or philosophies guiding IS research, and selected methodologies applicable to these epistemologies. Following this there will be discussion of knowledge management research specifically with regard to organisational learning and knowledge diffusion.

Successful transition to first year at university

The Australian Parents Education Association Incorporated (APEAI) - a Brisbane-based Chinese Parents' Association - is holding a talk for members of the Chinese community (parents and children) to assist both local and international students transiting to first year at university.
The delivery of the talk will be in English, so parents and students from other ethnic backgrounds are most welcome to attend.
