Aussie Snacks and Wildlife Encounters with Griffith Mates
Join the Griffith Mates for an upclose and personal encounter with some of Australia's most iconic critters (from 1:30pm to 2:30pm), plus a taste of classic Aussie snacks and the ultimate test of skill: our Aussie Slang Challenge! This event is a great introduction to the Australian experience and a fantastic way to make friends and meet our Griffith Mates, who are experienced Griffith students here to help you settle into Griffith University! Registrations essentail and open from 1 July.

International Student Buddy Meet and Match with Griffith Mates
The International Student Buddy Program is an opportunity for current students (Senior Buddies) to welcome you (Junior Buddy) as you start your journey at Griffith University.In Trimester 2 2024, Senior Buddies will mentor a small group of Junior Buddies each. Your buddy group will act as a support network for you as you navigate through the first four weeks of university (please note that final buddy group sizes will depend on the final number of applications).

Twilight City Walking Tour with Griffith Mates
The Griffith Mates will introduce new students to the local public transport system, sightseeing highlights, eating hot spots and shopping districts. These tours are a unique opportunity to make new friends and have fun while exploring your new city together. A light dinner will be provided.Register early as places are limited. This event is available for new students commencing in Trimester 2 2024.
