ONLINE IMPACT EVENT: Contact Tracing App: Data Taking Control over COVID-19
âJoin Associate Professor Muthukkumarasamy, Muthu, as he examines how contact tracing Apps operate, the personal data collected and how it can be used. In particular, he will unpack the COVID Safe app and evaluate what controls users have and the privacy trade-offs. Muthu will also compare the Australian App with other solutions around the world, and scrutinise the balance as a tool to rebuild the economy whilst keeping the population as safe as possible.

25th Anniversary of Civil Engineering at Griffith University
2019 marks 25 years since the Civil Engineering was established at Griffith University. To celebrate this milestone, the School of Engineering and Built Environment is holding a cocktail function at the Rydges Southbank, Brisbane on Thursday 31 October 2019 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Civil Engineering alumni are invited to this celebration event to network with fellow Griffith graduates and enjoy canapés and beverages with like-minded professionals.

Gold Coast Open House 2019
Gold Coast Open House is a free event opening up sites across the city on Saturday 19 October 2019. Griffith University Gold Coast Aquatic and Fitness Facility is selected to be featured in the Gold Coast Open House program this year. The Facility will be open to the public for self-guided tours, encouraging the general public to explore and engage with the City of Gold Coast's built environment.
