The aim of this Seminar is to give an overview of non-RCT designs and their application in clinical and epidemiological research, review their advantages and disadvantages and provide examples of research papers using each design of interest (cohort, case-control, cross-sectional, nested study design, surveys). The key differences between RCT and non-RCT designs will be explained.
