QCAD Thursdays is a series of QCAD Galleries opening events that seek to broaden the art experience. These events are a space for the presentation and interpretation of contemporary visual arts and design practice, and a site for gathering, conversation and learning.Join us on Thursday, 15th May from 5pm as we celebrate three new exhibitions at QCAD Galleries. A Quiet Undoing is a solo exhibition from QCAD HDR candidate Anna Guthrie that responds to the quiet and accumulative social and political pressures that wear down personal agency, pressure to produce, to perform, to endure.

The visions of Charles Bonnet Syndrome: Vicky Hamilton
Made as a response to the challenges of the lived-experience of pseudo-hallucinations, this exhibition seeks to highlight Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS). CBS gives rise to a fascinating world where the realm of image crosses over into the realm of perception. Resulting purely from a loss of sight, CBS visions fill in the void left by the absence of image. Thirteen worldwide participants co-created the series of works including videos, images, and sculptures.

Undergrowth 2025: A QCAD undergraduate invitational exhibition
Undergrowth is an invitational exhibition dedicated to showcasing some of the most innovative and conceptually coherent work being produced at a second-year undergraduate level at the Queensland College of Art and Design, Grifï¬th University. These artists and works have been nominated for invitation by Academic Staff as exemplary of the QCAD's high standards of material inquiry and disciplinary knowledge.
