IBAS Research Seminar: Selected information systems research approaches with a focus on the knowledge management characteristics of specific organisations

Information Systems research is not only social science in nature, it also draws upon a range of methods used in other disciplines, e.g. sociology, psychology, business, management. This seminar will start with a discussion of the epistemologies or philosophies guiding IS research, and selected methodologies applicable to these epistemologies. Following this there will be discussion of knowledge management research specifically with regard to organisational learning and knowledge diffusion.
