Abstract
This talk will discuss the current research program in the 'Humanoid Robotics' group at the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision, including its current work using the Pepper robot in healthcare public education, interventions and health clinics. This talk will also discuss previous healthcare robotics work, including the use of NAO humanoid robot in a set of clinical trials for delivering an autonomous behaviour change intervention for both adults and children.
Biography
Dr Nicole Robinson is a Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision in the Humanoid Robotics project, a $1.5 million R&D project supported by the Queensland Government. She is currently leading clinical trials and experimental studies involving the use of humanoid robots in interpersonal interactions. Nicole has previously conducted research in the healthcare field, including the translation of a psychotherapeutic program to be delivered by a humanoid robot.
