ABOUT RONDA:
Queensland College of Art postgraduate student Ronda Sharpe promotes awareness of waste in our ecosystem by creating artworks using discarded materials that are considered trash. The recycled mediums highlight the contemporary boundaries of connecting to consumerism and the throwaway society we currently live in.

Ronda's art practice developed outside of her traditional country of Wiradjuri; She was raised in Parkes NSW without the knowledge of her Indigenous background until recent years. Ronda is currently connecting with her cultural history and is inspired by her love and concerns for the environment by examining the connections of the past, the present and the future.
