Abstract -

The workshops will be on the topic of 'Implementing and sustaining practice change in disability and rehabilitation support systems' and will be offered at the below 2 locations: Gold Coast and Southbank. The Gold Coast workshop will address clinical use of evidence in health practices. The Brisbane workshop will address implementing changes in disability and rehabilitation funding schemes. The workshops will also launch a Community of Practice for all interested stakeholders

Dr. Julia Moore was trained as an implementation scientist, researching the best ways to implement evidence-based programs. While completing her PhD at Penn State, she worked at the Evidencebased Prevention and Intervention Support Center (EPISCenter), an intermediary organization tha promotes the use of effective programs for communities. There, she developed data collection tools to auto-calculate community-level performance metrics supporting more than 120 communities that had implemented 10 evidencebased programs over 200 times. During this time, she realized her passion is in helping organizations use the evidence to produce sustainable outcomes.
