The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition challenges higher degree by research (HDR) candidates to describe their research to a general audience within just three minutes. Throughout the competition, participants develop their presentation and communication skills, honing their ability to explain their research in a brief and engaging manner. The result is something like a TED talk - only with a three-minute time limit.
Held annually at universities worldwide, there are over fifty events held across Australia, New Zealand and Asia before the competition culminates in an Asia-Pacific 3MT Final in September.
Join us for the live-streamed 3MT Griffith University Final to watch our finalists' video presentations and live interviews; vote for your favourite presentation with our online people's choice poll; and find out who will represent Griffith at the Asia-Pacific 3MT Final.
