Voluntary Assisted Dying Community Forum
Voluntary Assisted Dying Community Forum

Principal speaker

Dr Jayne Hewitt

In January 2023 some people in Queensland will be able to access voluntary assisted dying. It's important that as voluntary assisted dying is implemented it meets the needs of the community, so we're keen to know what is important to you, and members of the Gold Coast Community.

You're invited to provide your feedback on a plan for implementation of voluntary assisted dying in Queensland.

The project has received ethical clearance from the Griffith University Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC number 201/309).

Whilst there is no fee to attend this event, registration is essential.

What will happen on the day?

The Forum will include:

- A presentation and explanation of a draft implementation package

- An opportunity for you to ask questions and share your views

- Morning tea will be supplied.

How will my feedback be used?

Your feedback will help us to revise the draft implementation plan to ensure it reflects the needs of the Gold Coast community.
