In recent years the qualitative interview, which is one of the most widely utilised methods in research, has been revitalised with new approaches to its use. This seminar will introduce you to two of these new approaches - the walk-along, go-along interview or mobile interview and the photo elicitation interview. These innovative ways of interviewing have been widely taken up across a range of disciplines including in education, health sciences, environmental studies, social science and management/organisational studies. Find out about the strengths of these new ways of interviewing and learn some of the practical ways in which you can operationalise them in your own research projects.
