Principal speaker

Professor Gretta Pecl

Please join us for an evening of information and conversation, led by world leading Marine Ecologist, Professor Gretta Pecl (University of Tasmania) who will focus on our coastal and marine environments and climate changed futures. Gretta's lecture will be followed by a discussion with local experts and community leaders. This event explores coastal recreation and the impacts of climate changes on our way of life. What can we do to ready ourselves - and our weekends - for climate changed futures? This event is part of the Altered Tides: creative coastal recreation in a climate changed future series hosted by the Climate Action Beacon, Griffith University and in partnership with the SWELL Sculpture Festival. These events bring Indigenous knowledge, climate and coastal sciences, beach cultures and the arts together to support people and their communities in responding to climate changes.
