Building on the great success of the "1st Australia-Korea Space Forum (AKSF) in 2021', Griffith is proud to be a joint organiser of the "AKSF2022', together with Korean Aerospace Research Institute and Korean Embassy in Australia. The Forum is also supported by Austrade, Australian Space Agency, Australia‐Korea Foundation and Korean Ministry of Science and Technology. Held over 2 days, key government and industry stakeholders from Australia and Korea will present on their area of expertise or the capabilities of the enterprise. Each presentation will be followed by a moderated discussion on the key issues and opportunities related to the topic.

Australia and South Korea (or Korea) are strategic partners with a strong bilateral relationship underpinned by trade and regional strategic interests. South Korea is Australia's fourth-largest trading partner and fourth-largest export market. Year 2021 marked the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Korea. Developing a thriving space sector that can deliver critical capabilities and services is a strategic priority for both governments.
