Research Impact Communication

Principal speaker

Dr Emma Barnes

Communicating the impact your research has generated outside of academia on, for example, society, the environment, the economy, health, and/or culture is increasingly becoming important across a range of communication outputs including grant and promotion applications and for stakeholder engagement.

In this hands-on, stepwise workshop researchers will draft a research impact communication on their own research project/program. A structured approach to writing a communication will be provided and matched with advice on tone, flow, and audience.

Participants will first draft a communication suitable for public profiles (e.g., Griffith Experts), then be walked through how to adapt their communication for different platforms and outputs including grant and promotion applications.

Please note: Due to its interactive nature, this session WILL NOT be recorded, and registrants are encouraged to attend the session when it is delivered.
