Professor Caitlin Byrne (Chair)
Panel: Professor Michael Wesley, Professor Christoph Nedopil, Emeritus Professor Julianne Schultz and Mr Chris Saines
2025 marks the 20th anniversary of Perspectives:Asia, a public lecture series presented by the Griffith Asia Institute (GAI) and QAGOMA through the Australian Centre of Asia Pacific Art (ACAPA).
Join us to celebrate this milestone with a special panel event reflecting on two decades of thought-provoking dialogue and exploring lessons that will shape our future in the region. Chaired by Professor Caitlin Byrne, the panel features prominent voices in policy, media and the arts: Professor Michael Wesley, Emeritus Professor Julianne Schultz, Chris Saines, and Professor Christoph Nedopil.
Since its launch in 2005, Perspectives:Asia has served as a platform for public engagement, promoting deeper understanding of Australia's place in the Asia-Pacific. It has hosted an impressive range of speakers and topics-from politics to pop culture-demonstrating the power of diverse perspectives to inform, challenge and inspire.
As we mark 20 years, we reflect on the series' legacy of enriching conversations and cross-cultural understanding. Join us for an evening that honours the past and looks ahead to new opportunities for dialogue in our shared regional future.
