Overview

When teaching we are aware of what we want our students to know and be able to do at the end of a teaching session or course, but we are not always clear about their starting point. Hence it may difficult for us to determine the learning gap that our teaching needs to fill. Griffith University has a great deal of information that will help us build a picture of the students in our class and therefore start to bridge the gap.

In this Online Learning Experience you will find out how to access existing data about your students from the Planning and Statistics Portal and use this data to prepare a teaching session.

2. Consider how this information can be used when planning a teaching session

1. Report on the information about the students in the course in which you teach
2. Complete the section of the Learning Session Plan that shows alignment between the aspects of your student cohort and the learning activities
