VoiceThread is a tool for enhancing student engagement. Lecturers or students can create, share, and comment on images, PowerPoint presentations, videos, audio files, documents, and PDFs, using microphone, webcam, text, phone, and audio file uploads.

Those in multi-sensory environments always do better than those in unisensory environments. They have more recall with better resolution that lasts longer, evident even 20 years later.

John Medina, author Brain Rules

VoiceThread provides a platform for creating resources with the potential to meet Medina's finding. In addition, it provides an avenue for online interaction where students can present and defend their work before their peers and instructor.
