Griffith MBA tops the field

Griffith University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) is rated as one of the best in the country, receiving a five star rating, six years in a row.

The Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA) has honoured Griffith with the prestigious award every year since the annual rating was introduced.

Griffith is the only Queensland university to consistently receive the top rating and only one of three universities nationally to achieve this feat.

Griffith Business School (GBS) Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Michael Powell said the rating was an exceptional result.

“To receive a five star rating for our MBA is a great coup for the School, but to receive the top rating consistently for the past six years is outstanding,” Professor Powell said.

Griffith’s International Masters of Business Administration (IMBA) also performed well in the GMAA rating, receiving four stars and securing the highest rating for an IMBA.

Professor Powell said the IMBA rating was a significant achievement for such a young program.

“Our IMBA is a new program and to receive a high rating in its first year is another outstanding result. Often new programs can take time to mature, but the GMAA rating suggests this is not true for Griffith programs.”

The GMAA rating is based on staff and student quality, links with industry and overseas schools, curriculum, facilities, graduate outcomes and more.

“The ratings represent the commitment and hard work of GBS staff to keep the courses relevant to industry and student needs,” Professor Powell said.

The GBS is holding MBA and Postgraduate Information Evenings for people interested in finding out more.

The first information evening will be held in Brisbane on Wednesday, September 26 at the Griffith Graduate Centre (S07) in room 2.16/2.18 at Griffith’s South Bank campus from 6pm — 7.30pm.
