Griffith alumnus selected as finalist in business awards

International Business graduate Peta Simpson has been named as a state finalist in the 2008 Telstra Business Women’s Awards.

Peta is owner and Director of Sunshine Coast business, New Staff Solutions, which she started in 2004 after graduating from Griffith in 1995.

The boutique recruitment agency offers a personalised approach and strives to deliver outstanding service to both clients and candidates.

Peta said she was very excited to be one of six finalists in the Queensland Price Waterhouse Coopers Young Business Women’s Award category.

“To be recognised in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards for Queensland is both exciting and satisfying,” Peta said.

“Being a small business owner can be challenging and it’s a great compliment to be chosen as a finalist in these awards.”

Peta and her company have had amazing successes both this year and in the past.

New Staff Solutions attracts the highest level of talent available in a challenging market, and matches the right candidate to their client’s ongoing and future staffing needs.

“I’d like to thank my team, clients and friends for their support and ongoing business over the past five years. Without you, we couldn’t’ be the Sunshine Coast’s most awarded recruitment company,” Peta said.

The 2008 Telstra Queensland Business Women’s Awards presentation luncheon will be held on Tuesday, November 18 in Brisbane, where the winner will be announced.
