100 Reasons revealed…

Griffith University students have come clean — and it seems barbeques, brownies and life-long friends are some of what make the University a great place to be.

Students were asked to nominate their favourite things about studying at Griffith as part of the University’s 100 Reasons campaign, launched recently to coincide with the upcoming second round of QTAC offers.

Jelly cups, Japanese curries and the campus bars feature on the list, but it was the people who came out on top, with many students citing the learning experience offered as the number one reason they love the University.

“The lecturers and tutors are really approachable. They make starting uni less daunting.” -Laura

“The knowledge I’ve gained from people I respect — both teachers and students.” -Sarah

“I like the innovative attitude of the uni as a whole. It’s not a stuffy learning environment”. -Sam

“They have a student that graduated at age 17! That’s inspiring.” -John

The University’s continued redevelopment has also struck a chord, with students clearly fond of the modern facilities and campus environment.

“The architecture. Sandstone is so last decade!” -Lisa

Location and proximity to the beach also topped the list for some.

“Study on the Gold Coast campus means I can still surf every day.” -Ben
