The Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Mr Graham Quirk recently appointed 28 students representing 23 different countries as Brisbane’s 2012 International Student Ambassadors.
We caught up with a couple of the Griffith Students from the International Ambassadors program and had a chat with them about their expectations of the program and their love of Brisbane.

The student representatives were inducted at an official ceremony in Brisbane to begin their role of promoting Australia’s News World City to the World.
The Lord Mayor said “Brisbane’s international student ambassador program aimed to encourage students to be strong advocates of the city and promote Brisbane to the world.”
The 2012 program includes students from:
China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Croatia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Venezuela and Vietnam.
Their areas of study a range from business, nursing, engineering, journalism to medicine at educational institutions across Brisbane.
