Strap yourself in for Orientation Week

New Griffith students check out stalls on campus
O Week buzz is upon us again.

The Griffith University journey starts for more than 10,000 undergraduate students on Monday (Feb 18) with a hectic week of social events and activities designed to point new arrivals in the right direction.

Orientation Week offers everything a new student at Griffith University requires to be right on track from day one.

As well as finding your way around your new academic terrain, it is also a great opportunity to make friends, meet lecturers and tutors from your degree, and navigate your way around your campus of choice.

It is also the right time to acquaint yourself with the comprehensive range of support services available to all Griffith students.

Free activities

Free workshops, activities and resources will help you settle in areas like academic skills, computing skills and library research skills.

The student experience at Griffith isn’t all just about study, and clubs and student organisations will be on a mission this week to make you a new member. If you haven’t time to check all the stalls on campus, you can also connect with clubs at Griffith on Facebook.

“Being part of a student club is a great way to meet people, make newfriends, improve your employability and find out about heaps ofopportunitiesavailable to you as a student,” says Jessica Booth, president of Griffith Employment Relations and Human Resource Management Society (GERMS).

Planning ahead

New students will have the chance to meet others in the same degree program at the school-based sessions that are planned. Check out the online Orientation Event planner, so that you don’t miss out.
