NITV News Sydney and Big News Network say a Griffith University report has called on the Queensland Government to improve access for Murri children to their fathers in prison.

Associate Professor Susan Dennison from the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice says incarceration can damage the father-child relationship with disastrous results across generations.

She recommends video conferencing as a solution.
