Griffith University has been recognised as having Australia’s best education website.

Global Reviews has announced the top performing websites in Australia for their commitment to delivering first class customer experiences.

The Digital Customer Experience Index for 2013 measured 125 leading Australian websites across nine industries, involving 20,000 in-market consumers and 500,000 survey questions.

Griffith won the education category for “content beyond course descriptions, providing information to aid students in their progression into a career including how to prepare for a job interview, upcoming career expos and information about working overseas”.

Also acknowledged was Griffith’s strong online application process as well as multiple contact options and supporting materials such as FAQ’s, maps and other contextual help.

Deputy Vice Chancellor (Engagement) Professor Martin Betts said the award is welcome recognition of Griffith’s dedication to external engagement, and providing the best possible teaching and learning experiences for students.

“Our website provides an opportunity to showcase to students and prospective students the extraordinary achievements and opportunities available at Griffith and to make all of that accessible,” said Professor Betts.

“It also allows industry and external groups to know a great deal more about our work, values, and how connections with Griffith can help you make a difference.“

The annual Global Reviews benchmark programme is the largest in the world and provides an ongoing measure of the best digital customer experience.

Griffith will be awarded a winners plaque at the 2014 Digital Leaders Summit, on Tuesday 10 June in Melbourne.
