Four Griffith students are Korea bound to represent Australia in track and field, taekwondo, water polo and swimming at the 2015 World University Games.

The emerging athletes and Griffith Sport College members – Matthew Denny, Serena Fraser, Tiana Sogaard-Andersen and Kiah Melverton – will join the Uniroos team from July 3 — 14 at the International University Sports Federation 2015 Summer Universiades. They will compete against more than 9000 student-athletes from more than 170 countries.

Sports College manager Duncan Free OAM said it was fantastic to have four members representing Australia at such a highly regarded competition.

“This is such a massive sport event, similar to the Commonwealth Games, that it is great to have four students representing us in four different sports,” he said.
