UPDATE 7am Wednesday: The Griffith University South Bank buildings at the Queensland College of Art (QCA) are open as normal today.
Teams worked overnight to remove the fallen crane and the building was inspected and declared safe around 3am.
A handful rooms may still be without air conditioning today until one unit is repaired. Teaching and office spaces are open as normal.

A crane operating on the construction site at Collins place in Brisbane has toppled onto Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art building at South Bank.
There are no injuries of staff or students in the building.
The crane has fallen onto the roof directly on plant room causing some of the building facade to be displaced.
At this stage the universitycan not make a full assessment of the damage to any services or the building structure.
Emergency Services have evacuated the building.
Staff are advised that the QCA Lecture Theatre & Gallery building will be closed for the rest of the day.
Other buildings affected include Rivers Studio and Grey Street studios.
The Office of Marketing and Communications will provide information on the Griffith website and via social media advising staff when they will be able to return to work.
Please note that while efforts will be made to facilitate this as soon as possible, the university will not be able to make a full assessment of the damage until Emergency Services grant access to the building.
Tonight’s AEL Public Lecture “Can Music Change The World?” presented by Associate Professor Brydie-Leigh Bartleet has been relocated.
The event will now take place at the Ian Hanger Recital Hall at Queensland Conservatorium, 140 Grey Street, South Bank.
Arrival time remains 5.30pm for a 6.00pm sharp start.
