Griffith University “Guess Who?” Promotion — Terms and Conditions

  1. This “Guess Who?” Snapchat promotion is run by Griffith University
  2. Prizes: There are a total of 4 prizes to be won for this promotion. Each entrant is eligible to win 1 of 4 $50 Westfield XS EFTPOS Gift Cards.
  3. Information on how to enter and win prizes form part of these terms and conditions.
  4. By submitting an entry to this competition the entrant agrees to and accepts these competition conditions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, competition entry is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  5. How to enter: (a) Follow the Griffith University Snapchat account (griffithsnaps) (b) Listen out for specific clues about famous Griffith alumni that our Snapchatters will providing details on on Sunday 24 July (c) The first person to correctly guess who the Griffith alumnus is, by replying via a Snapchat message to griffithsnaps, will win a $50 Westfield XS Gift Card. There will be four “Guess Who?” segments throughout the day, each with one winner.
  6. The promotional period: Promotion commences on 9:00amAESTSunday 24 July, 2016 and closes at 2:00pmAESTSunday 24 July, 2016.
  7. Eligibility: Only prospective and current students are eligible to enter the competition. Entrants are only eligible to win one of the segments. Current staff and direct family members arenoteligible to enter the competition.
  8. Notification: The winner for each of the four “Guess Who?” segments will be notified by a Snapchat response to their guess from griffithsnaps on Sunday 24 July 2016.
  9. The total prize pool is valued at $219.80 (inc.GST). Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash. If the prize is unavailable, Griffith University, at its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.
  10. Griffith University reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of the entries and entrants (including their identity) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the terms and conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at Griffith University’s discretion.
  11. Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Griffith University), which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, Griffith University reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
  12. Griffith University will deal with all Entrants’ personal information in accordance with theGriffith University Privacy Plan.
  • The University accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The University makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prizes. To the extent permitted by law, Griffith University is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance or use of the prizes. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the subject prize.
