Student Carer Network and Orientation Welcome sessions

The Welfare and Student Liaison Office provides support to student Carers. Services include the Carer Support Network, individual support, meetings and regular emails.

Caring for another person can be rewarding but also extremely challenging at times, when there is a need to balance the role of caring and the particular requirements of studying at University.

If you are caring for someone who is frail aged, has a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, alcohol or other drug issue, we would love to hear from you.

Come along to one of our Carer Welcome sessions on your campus during Orientation in February 2017. This is a great opportunity to meet with other student carers and also find out about supports available within Griffith and externally.

Gold Coast campus: Friday 24 Feb 2017, 10.30 – 12.00, Student Centre (G33), Room 1.63 (downstairs)

Logan campus: Wednesday 22 Feb 2017, 11.00 – 12.00, Community Place (L04), Room 1.15

New and existing student carers are welcome. If you can’t make it, feel free to make an appointment or if you just want to be added to our Carer Network and receive emails, let us know.
