Closer links have been forged between Griffith University and Shandong Jianzhu University following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Griffith’s Gold Coast campus yesterday.

The collaborative relationship will offer Shandong Jianzhu University postgraduate students the opportunity to study at Griffith, as well as participate in collaborative research, publications and training projects.

The current arrangement with Griffith is for an undergraduate articulation in Civil Engineering, in which students complete the final two years of their program at Griffith. At the conclusion, students are eligible to graduate with a Griffith Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Civil Engineering.

Dr Erwin Oh, Deputy Head of School & Associate Dean (International), Griffith School of Engineering, said he is delighted to continue the strong partnership which we have enjoyed with Shandong Jianzhu University since the signing of our first Memorandum of Understanding in 2005.

Shandong Jianzhu University, also translated as Shandong University of Architecture and Engineering, is a public university in Jinan, Shandong province, China. Founded in 1956 as the Jinan Construction and Engineering School, over time it has evolved into a full university, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
