There is something for everyone, with acts spanning a range of genres, including pop, rock, country and electronica – evidence of the diverse talent at the Gold Coast.
With SEED alumni winning awards, receiving regular play on Triple J, touring nationally and playing major festivals, attending this year’s SEED launch is an opportunity to discover the next big thing.
Since kicking off in 2012, SEED has grown from a single compilation album release to an extensive development program for emerging talent.
Each year the Bachelor of Popular Music students’ best songs are compiled into an album and distributed online. Selected artists then receive career building experiences, industry connections and high-profile performance opportunities.
The latest album, SEED Volume 6, can be downloaded for free via Bandcamp.
“Now in its 6th year, SEED keeps going from strength to strength,” she said.
“The album launch is an exciting time, and an opportunity to catch a glimpse of our talented emerging artists as they take their first steps into a professional music career.”
