Griffith continues to rank with world-leading universities

Griffith University continues to rank strongly in the THE World University Rankings.

Griffith University has again been placed among the world’s top 300 universities in the 2019 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

It is the fourth year in succession that Griffith has ranked in the 251-300 range, confirming its position in the higher echelons of the widely-respected ranking list.

Griffith has risen in the ranking on each of the key indicators – ­ teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook – during the past 12 months.

“Our performance and achievements in the international outlook and citations categories are particularly noteworthy on a global scale,” Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Ian O’Connor AC, said.

“This represents our highest results ever in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and reflects the effectiveness of the environment supporting learning and innovation on all our campuses, including Griffith’s digital campus.

“Griffith also continues to enhance its reputation in the competitive international higher education space, preparing the next generation of leaders in the region and undertaking research of international scale and impact.”

This year 1,258 institutions are listed in the THE World University Rankings, one of the world’s most influential university rankings, whose expertise considers trends underpinning university performance and excellence globally.

Griffith is rated in the top 300 in four of the largest and most credible world university rankings, THE World University Rankings, University Ranking by Academic Performance, the Leiden Ranking and US News Best Global Universities.

A series of prestigious rankings systems place Griffith in the top 2% of universities worldwide, while Griffith also ranks highly as a young university, 35thin the2019QS World University Rankings Top 50 Under 50 and37thin the2018Times Higher Education Young University Rankings.
