Griffith University is proud to announce its support of innovation in the public sector as the major sponsor of the 2019 Business Innovation in Government (BiiG) Conference, being held in Brisbane this October.
Griffith’s presence at the conference extends to presenters, including its keynote speakers — Mr Alex HannantandAssociate Professor Ingrid Burkett, the co-directors of the University’s Yunus Social Business Centre, based in Logan — as well as presenters, such as Griffith Business School Dean (Engagement) Professor Anne Tiernanand Social Marketing @ Griffith DirectorProfessorSharyn Rundle-Thiele.
“At the Yunus Centre, we firmly believe that the development of innovative, collaborative business practices and policy can lead to better outcomes for people, and that ultimately leads to inclusive and sustainable growth,” Associate Professor Burkett said.

Taking place from 29-30 October at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the 2019 conference will explore the theme of The Changing Work of Innovation — Next-generation Leadership and Practice for Public Value and Social Impact.
Attracting more than 500 public sector leaders annually, the BiiG Conference — a Queensland Government initiative hosted by Queensland Treasury — will this year transition to the national stage for the first time, opening its doors to all of levels of government across Australia and related university and non-government organisation partners.
