Queensland Ballet Artistic Director Li Cunxin has been awarded a Griffith University Honorary Doctorate.

Former Queensland Premier Anna Bligh has told Griffith University graduates to never fear failure as it provides some of the most important lessons in life, and instead cited inertia as their biggest threat. Ms Bligh received an Honorary Doctorate from the University at a graduation in Brisbane on Monday.

Husband and wife duo, Chris and Rebecca Meyers who will graduate with PhDs in Education on Monday, December 14 are proof that age in no barrier to study.

Almost 5000 students will take part in graduation ceremonies this week, capping off a year of high achievement at Griffith.
