Each year, as part of National Science Week, Griffith University's Science on the GO! team host the Gold Coast Schools Trivia Challenge. The Challenge is held at the Activity Centre (G07), Gold Coast campus, Griffith University. The Science Trivia Challenge is held across three age groups with the teachers competition running in conjunction with the senior students competition.
- Registrations will re-open Monday 2nd July 2012
- Schools can register a maximum of 6 teams per division
- Maximum of 4 students per team
- Cost of $10 per team
- Compete for over $5 000 worth of prizes!
- Competing for individual prizes as well as major prizes for your school!
- The format of the Science Trivia Challenge will be along the lines of conventional trivia nights with 6 rounds of 8 questions.
- In between rounds there will be entertainment by way of “whiz-bang-pop” science demonstrations, brain-buster questions for the audience and great prize give-aways
- A host of hands-on interactive science activities will also be part of the evening
