The Climate Change For Good Conference is hosted by the Gold Coast & Hinterland Environment Council (Gecko) and Griffith Climate Change Response Program (GCCRP).  

The Conference will be opened by the Qld Minister for Environment, the Hon Steven Miles.  Key note speakers include Prof Will Steffen (Climate Council), Larissa Baldwin (Australian Youth Climate Coalition), Prof Brendan Mackey (Director, GCCRP).  8 Theme Key Speakers including Jerry Coleby-Williams (Gardening Australia) about organic farming.  25 Workshops facilitated by experts in their field.

"To inspire and empower the community to think and act positively in creating opportunities at work, home and elsewhere for a better society that meets the challenges of climate change.”

Objectives of the Climate Change for Good Conference:

* To identify the opportunities resulting from action on climate change that will enhance business and employment and community wellbeing.
* Facilitate community partnerships.
* Establish a cross-sector advisory group.

25 Workshops of the Climate Change for Good Conference:
Each key speaker is followed by workshops facilitated by experts from each theme to produce clear, realistic, and achievable priority actions.

Actioneers of the Climate Change for Good Conference:
Each workshop will identify inspired community sector leaders committed to undertake priority actions over the next 12 months. These are the Actioneers.

Cross-Sector Advisory Group of the Climate Change for Good Conference:
Experts from each Conference theme provide inspiration, support and advice to the Actioneers for 12 months.
