BIOGRAPHY

Professor Robert Ware is Professor of Biostatistics at Menzies Health Institute Queensland. His primary research interest is in developing statistical methods to deal with the impact of attrition in longitudinal studies. He has actively collaborated with clinicians since 2003. He is the investigator responsible for statistical design and analysis on five NHMRC funded longitudinal cohort studies (total funding >$6 million), and has co-authored >250 articles in academic journals.

Associate Professor Sama Low-Choy is the Senior Statistician at the Griffith Social and Behavioural Research College. She has been advising researchers on statistics across disciplines at: universities (QUT, Griffith), CRCs and government (EPA). Her research interests include: graphical models of complex systems; structured elicitation of expert knowledge; priors within the Bayesian framework; and statistical paradigms. She has been instrumental in attracting over $4.5M in research grants, has >200 academic publications (peer reviewed articles/contracted reports), and 7 kinds of grevillea flourishing in clay.

Dr Kim Nguyen has been a Research Fellow in the Griffith University Centre for Applied Health Economics since 2013. Her research interest is in quantitative economics, with a strong emphasis on economic evaluation, productivity and efficiency analysis, inequality analysis, health financing and resource allocation.

Dr Ping Zhang is the Group Leader, Bioinformatics at Menzies Health Institute Queensland. Her research interests involve investigating artificial neural networks, artificial intelligence, and data mining.
