txhuam ntxiv mus (continuous frictions) presents selected works that Vue has investigated throughout his Doctor of Philosophy research.

Vue's practice-led research has harnessed the frictions and tensions of cultural difference to create works that contradict and transcends both his Hmong and Australian identities-celebrating and embracing humorous and ill-defined mutations that offer new languages of cheeky inconclusiveness.

The events associated with Vue's family migration to Australia has also been retold, with the artist repurposing the scraps and remnants of memory, official records, and historical artefacts into works that reveal a past which remains profoundly vivid to family and community members.

Exhibition Dates: Friday, 14 - Saturday, 29 June

Opening Times: Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm

Where: POP Gallery, 381 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, 4006
