Come along to hear what it's like to become a Trailblazer.
This will be a valuable information session, hosted by Brisbane Marketing, relevant to early career and mid-career researchers and staff who work on or prepare proposals to host conferences. Morning tea will be available.
Applications are now open for the Lord Mayor's Convention Trailblazer Grant, providing up to $30,000 worth of grants to help emerging professionals and researchers grow Brisbane's reputation as a global convention city. Successful local trailblazers will attend an international conference, build valuable international networks, broaden their knowledge and skills plus gain recognition of their work in Brisbane.
The recipients will also work with the city's economic development board Brisbane Marketing and partners to bid for the conference to be held in Brisbane. The Lord Mayor's Trailblazer Grant provides an opportunity to broaden your horizons and interact with world leaders in your field.
As well as learning about the grant process you will also hear about the complimentary services already available to support conference bids and confirmed conferences in Brisbane.
