Come and play in the R statistical sandpit! This workshop provides an introduction to R statistical coding and analysis. You will be working in small group configurations to learn the basics of R. We begin with an introduction to the thinking required to interact with a programming environment, then address 20 basic commands in R. These cover using R like a calculator, a scientific calculator or a spreadsheet, then progress to using simple functions. We show you how to create and inspect objects in R, and how to begin to interpret the error messages you may obtain. Different skill levels from absolute beginner to intermediate will be accommodated in this workshop, with exercises aimed at "white belt" or "brown belt" levels.
External participants can attend.
