About our Presenter:
Tracey Brose has been a Principal for 23 years, with 20 years of Principalship being at Tamborine Mountain State High. After graduating in 1990, Tracey's journey in education has seen her work in leadership roles at Emerald, Capella, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Murgon/Cherbourg and Metropolitan Brisbane.

These years were very formative in her growth as an educator as it provided a solid foundation of quality leadership in both curriculum and decision making. It is was during her time at Murgon State High School that while working back late one night that Tracey was attacked, stabbed and held hostage. The assailant was caught and received a 14 year custodial sentence. Tracey's personal experience and leading her school community through that trauma/recovery crystalised that values matter - any compromise in values slowly erodes a schools strength, culture and resilience.

Throughout her career Tracey has been honoured to receive many awards - 1994 Australian of the Year Environmental Category, 1993 Queenslander of the Year Environmental Category and Scenic Rim Australian of the Year 2002 and 2017.
