Peripheral Objects: Ree Hegh

Peripheral Objects: Ree Hegh

Peripheral Objects is a solo exhibition by Ree Hegh, concluding her Doctor of Visual Arts (DVA) candidature. Hegh's research highlights what she calls "peripheral objects' - used and broken things that are not thrown away but remain in the domestic periphery. These objects, ambiguous in purpose and infused with human experience, offer insights into the material and social relations of the home, when transformed or "repaired' as sculpture.

In this exhibition, Hegh utilises a break-and-repair approach to sculpture, mirroring the many physical and psychological acts of repair and transformation required daily in the family home.

Please join us for the closing event from 6pm on Friday, 15th December.
