Science and Engineering Challenges

Griffith Science Education Alliance in partnership with Rotary hosts four Science and Engineering Challenges in South-East Queensland.

The two 2023 events are scheduled for South Brisbane on 4&5 June and 12&13 June at the Gold Coast. (Venues TBC)

The Challenge is open to all schools with only 8 school places each day. Schools would ideally register teams up to 32 students from Year 9 and 10. The Science and Engineering Challenge was developed by the University of Newcastle to inspire young people, through fun and practical hands-on activities, about current and future opportunities available in STEM.

Winners from each Regional Challenge proceed to the State Challenge, with the opportunity to continue through to the National Challenge.

It is one of our most popular events and registrations often sell out within an hour of registrations opening. Registration for the team of 32 students and will need to be paid via the Griffith PAY link to compete in the challenge. (Cost TBC)

Registration will open early Term 2
