Description
Effective teachers provide meaningful feedback to students. In addition, analysis of student survey data shows a strong correlation between the quality of teacher feedback and students' satisfaction with their teachers.
Overview
Feedback informs our future behaviours, and beliefs. How and when it is given and how and when it is received is important.
It is widely accepted that feedback is essential for learning, and allows students to know if they are on track to achieve the course and program learning outcomes.
This resources provides information on how to provide students with feedback to promote their learning both in our learning activities and our assessment.

- Identify the characteristics of effective feedback in your teaching
- Evaluate samples of written feedback to students
Follow Up Activities
- Record three examples of feedback that you have provided to students of their performance in summative assessment which demonstrates the characteristics of effective feedback.
